Rio Ferdinand’s testimonial ended in defeat as Manchester United lost 3-1 to Sevilla.

Sevilla played the match high on confidence after they defeated Mladost Podgorica in Europa League qualifying 9-1 on aggregate. They went into half-time with a two-goal lead, courtesy Vitolo and Marko Marin.
