Polish Striker has decided if his future lies at Allianz Arena or at Old Trafford. The Bavarians and Red Devils are keenly waiting on a decision from long time transfer target Robert Lewandowski, after reports emerged that the striker has finally arrived at a decision on his future.
Both clubs have shown interest to sign the 24-year-old Polish international, who has made up his mind to leave Bundesliga Champions Dortmund in the summer after three fruitful years at the club.
Dortmund are also keen to off-load one of their star players, as only 12 months of his contract remains at the end of season. It seems a smart move to cash in on him now rather than losing him on free transfer the following year.
Manchester United were overwhelming favourites to secure Lewandowski until Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich, who, led by their manager-in-waiting Pep Guardiola, entered the fray.
Lewandowski’s agent Cezary Kucharski has revealed that the striker’s transfer deal has already been finalized but Lewndowski himself has not made up his mind when to make his decision public.
Cezary Kucharski told Polish TV:“Robert has made his decision. Only he decides when he will make his decision public, though those who have followed Robert’s career will realize that he’s never stayed at a club for longer than two seasons. He’s already in his third season at Dortmund. Read between the lines and you’ll know what this means.”
Meanwhile, Dortmund fans need not worry as the club has made Manchester City’s Edin Dzeko as their number one target as a replacement for Lewandowski. The Bosnian international has already tasted Bundesliga with Wolfsburg where he had his breakthrough season before joining the reigning Premier League Champions.
