Roman Abramovich may be set to embark on a South American spending spree by targeting three of the continent’s best players in Radamel Falcao, Edinson Cavani and James Rodriguez.
Napoli’s Cavani and Atletico Madrid‘s Falcao have been linked to Chelsea for quite a while now, while James Rodriguez is the surprise included in a story reported by the London Evening Standard.
The paper claims the spree is to placate unhappy fans about the replacement of the highly popular Roberto Di Matteo, with the quite unpopular Rafa Benitez.
Cavani reported has a £48 million pound price tag, while Radamel Falcao will cost £44 million and James Rodriguez a further £36 million.
