Romania face the Netherlands at the Allianz Arena in Munich on Tuesday (July 2) in the last-16 of Euro 2024. Tricolorii kicked off their campaign with a dominant 3-0 victory over Ukraine before losing 2-0 to Belgium.
They drew 1-1 draw with Slovakia in their final group outing, with Cagliari's Razvan Marin netting from the spot to cancel out their opponents' opener. Romania are featuring in the knockouts of the European Championship for the first time since 2000.
The Netherlands, meanwhile, also enjoyed a winning start to their Euro 2024 campaign, picking up a 2-1 comeback win over Poland in their opener before drawing goalless with France.
The Oranje then suffered their first defeat of the tournament against Austria on matchday three, losing 3-2 following an underwhelming display at the Olympiastadion, to finish third in the group.
Ronald Koeman's side were knocked out at this stage of the Euros in the previous edition, losing 2-0 to the Czech Republic.
