Brazilian superstar Ronaldinho definitely showed a side of his personality that we aren’t used to seeing as he stormed off the pitch when substituted before half-time last night. The incident happened during a match between his team Queretaro and Pachuca in the first leg of the semi-finals of the Clausura on Thursday.
Queretaro found themselves in a tough spot in the game, as they were trailing Pachuca 2-0 before Ricardo Osorio was sent off on 41 minutes to compound their problems. To help his team hold on, coach Victor Manuel Vucetich removed Ronaldinho from the game, but the Brazilian magician was not amused and walked off the pitch immediately, before proceeding to leave the stadium while the match was still going on.
The former Barcelona man didn’t even go towards his own dugout, instead choosing to leave the field through the tunnel. This latest incident is another flashpoint during his short stint with the Mexican side, with the relationship now believed to have broken down badly, as a move to Major League Soccer is being touted.
However, the decision taken by the Queretaro coach definitely stood vindicated, as they didn’t concede another goal, and now have a chance in the second leg of making a comeback.
