Argentinean footballers were taken aback when a few fans invaded the pitch during their World Cup practice session at Belo Horizonte in Brazil. The squad was doing their basic training in front of thousands of fans and media when the incident happened.
As the players were being divided into small groups for training, the supporters from the stands climbed over the fences and ran on to the pitch towards their heroes. Most of the fans ran towards the Argentina star Lionel Messi before the session was brought to an abrupt end by the security guards.
In fact, Messi was initially fooled by a fan who is a Ronaldinho look-alike as the Barcelona star mistook him for his former team-mate and friend. Messi might have been confused, as it is the home of Atletico Mineiro, where Ronaldinho currently plays in the Brazilian league.
