Ronaldo's Juventus debut postponed
According to Goal, Cristiano Ronaldo's Juventus debut delayed due to Genoa tragedy. A state emergency has been declared after 39 people died because of the collapse in a motorway bridge in Genoa.
Ronaldo is yet to play his first match for Juventus after his surprising transfer from Real Madrid. CR7 was expected to make his debut against Chievo on Saturday but since the match is going to be postponed, Ronaldo is most likely to make his debut against Lazio at the Allianz Stadium on August 25.
Real Madrid wants three more players
Julen Lopetegui just had the worst start to his Real Madrid career by losing against Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup and it seems like without Ronaldo there is no joy for Real Madrid.
In case you did not know, Athletico Madrid won against Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup for a final score of 4-2. Karim Benzema and Sergio Ramos scored one goal each for Real meanwhile, Diego Costa scored two goals along with Saul Niguez and Koke scoring one each which ended the match in their favor.
According to Donbalon, having lost that match 4-2 after extra-time, Real Madrid's club president Florentino Perez believes his side needs more depth and will strengthen their team in these last few days of the transfer period.
Lopetegui believes that Real Madrid needs a trio which includes a striker, a midfielder, and a left back. The names that Lopetegui target to fill these vacant spots are Rodrigo, Thiago Alcantara and Marcos Alonso, although there are many more options.
