England manager Roy Hodgson has nothing but praise for his players following the hard fought and well earned 1–0 triumph over Ukraine at the Olympic Stadium in Kiev on Tuesday. After overcoming the Ukrainians, The Three Lions prepare to lock horns with Cesare Prandelli´s Italy in the European Championships Quarter Finals.
Roy Hodgson: “Whatever level you are playing, if you don’t have courage, strength and discipline, you won’t go very far. It’s not what you say to players, it’s how you go about your business with them on a daily basis. The business of training and preparing for matches. It doesn’t matter how much success you’ve had, you have to keep proving it day in, day out. John Terry was excellent against Ukraine. He and Joleon Lescott were very good. In fact the whole of the back four were very good. Of course we are blessed as if anything does slip through, we also have a top class goalkeeper in Joe Hart.
