Reported Arsenal target Evan Ferguson could reportedly be available for loan in the January transfer window. Brighton & Hove Albion are considering letting him leave in January amidst interest from several Premier League clubs.

Ferguson joined Brighton's academy from Irish club Bohemians in January 2021. He rose through the ranks and was seen as one of the most promising youngsters in the English top flight. However, injuries and lack of form have seen him struggle to make an impact. He's played just 373 minutes across 14 appearances this season, scoring one goal.

As per journalist Ben Jacobs, Brighton could be open to letting Ferguson leave in January as he reported on X:

“Brighton are still deciding whether to listen to offers for Evan Ferguson in January. Several suitors have already enquired and yet to receive clarity. Brighton’s focus just on getting Ferguson fit for now.
“Arsenal, Fulham and West Ham among those alert to an opportunity. #AFC unlikely to spend big on No.9 now, but open to the possibility of a January addition under the right circumstances, in addition to a summer striker (Sesko, Isak both strong targets).
“Challenge at the moment is that although a half-season loan is very appealing to several Premier League clubs, Brighton are currently inclined to insist on an obligation clause if they decide to let Ferguson go in January.”

Arsenal have been linked with a potential move for a striker in the last two seasons. Ferguson's contract with Brighton expires in 2029.

Gabriel Jesus continues his goalscoring form as Arsenal see off Brentford before Brighton clash

The Gunners beat Brentford 3-1 at the Gtech Community Stadium on New Year's Day in the Premier League. Bryan Mbeumo opened the scoring in the 13th minute before Gabriel Jesus equalized 16 minutes later. Mikel Merino (50') and Gabriel Martinelli (53') made it 3-1 as Arsenal saw the game out to earn three points.

One of the talking points from the game was yet another goal by Jesus, who appears to have hit some form. He had just one goal and two assists in 20 games across competitions this season. However, he's now scored six goals in his last four appearances, including a hat-trick against Crystal Palace.

Jesus' form will come as a big boost for the Gunners, who are set to be without Bukayo Saka for many weeks due to his hamstring injury. Arsenal will next face Brighton at the Amex Stadium on Saturday, January 4. They are second in the Premier League standings, 12 points above the Seagulls in 10th.
