Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Manchester United target Adrien Rabiot in the summer transfer window. According to TeamTalk, these teams will also face competition from Premier League rivals Aston Villa for the player's services.
As per this report, the France international is unlikely to renew his deal at Juventus. His contract is up this summer and the midfielder would become available for free.
It is also believed that the Serie A giants are looking to propose to the Frenchman a new three-year contract, which will give him the same salary. This is said to be the issue for Rabiot and his mother, who feel like he should be earning more.
As a result, the 29-year-old could be considering a move to the Premier League. This report also claims that Manchester United are the ones pushing the hardest for Rabiot, despite interest from the Gunners.
A move to the Emirates may seem a little less likely, with Arsenal linked to a host of younger midfield options like Martin Zubimendi and Amadou Onana. With Thomas Partey considered a likely candidate to move on this summer, there's space for another defensive midfielder in north London.
Should Rabiot wish to join the Red Devils, he could have to be patient to taste glory with the Manchester outfit. Last season, Erik ten Hag's men finished eighth in the Premier League standings and were knocked out of the Champions League in the group stages.
On the other hand, Arsenal finished second and only two points behind champions Manchester City in the league. This means that they've also secured Champions League football for the 2024/25 season.
Manchester United and Arsenal offered the chance to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder - Reports
Manchester United and Arsenal have been offered the chance to sign Paris Saint-Germain defensive midfielder Manuel Ugarte, as per HITC (via CaughtOffSide). Along with these clubs, it is believed that Chelsea and Liverpool could also seal a deal for his services.
The 23-year-old made 37 appearances across the competition for his Parisian employers in the 2023/24 season, bagging three assists and no goals. He is considered to have serious potential, which could prompt these English giants to sign him.
The Red Devils may have a more immediate need to fill this position, with Casemiro underperforming in the season that has just gone by. However, Ugarte's current deal at the Parc des Princes only expires in the summer of 2028, hinting at the fact that he would be an expensive purchase.
