Arsenal interested in signing England international

Arsenal are reportedly heavily interested in signing England international Eberechi Eze who is currently with the England national team at Euro 2024. As claimed by The Guardian via Football Talk, the Gunners are among the admirers of the Crystal Palace star.

The report also claims that Eze is wanted by the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City and is valued at £60 million by Crystal Palace. The Eagles are already set to lose Michael Olise to Bayern Munich in a deal worth £50 million and could lose another key player.

Eze was on the books of Arsenal formerly as a youth graduate between the ages of eight and 13. He then played in the youth ranks of Fulham, Reading and Millwall before bursting onto the scene at Queens Park Rangers (QPR).

After impressing for QPR, the technically-gifted attacking midfielder moved to Crystal Palace in 2020 in a reported £17 million deal. He has since been a key player for the south London side and enjoyed his career-best season last time out.

The 25-year-old scored 11 goals and provided six assists in 31 games across competitions last season. He was particularly impressive in the closing stages of the season under Oliver Glasner, scoring five goals in the last six games.

Eze is currently on international duty representing England at the Euros but is yet to start a game. He came on as a substitute against Denmark for a 21-minute cameo.

Capable of playing either as a number 10 or as a winger, Eze could be a solid addition to Arsenal. With Emile Smith Rowe's future at the Emirates up in the air, he could prove to be a like-for-like replacement.

Rio Ferdinand hails Arsenal target as the best player of Euro 2024 group stage

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has hailed Arsenal target Nico Williams for his impressive showings at Euro 2024. The young winger is one of the most coveted players in world football right now and has been linked with a move to north London.

While reacting to Williams' exceptional exploits for Spain at Euro 2024, the former Manchester United defender said:

"The pace is electric. The pace is electric. I love him. I think he is the player of the round."

Williams enjoyed a stellar season for his boyhood club Athletic Bilbao last time out helping them clinch the Copa del Rey. He scored eight goals and provided 19 assists in 37 appearances for the Basque-based club.
