Arsenal have joined Real Madrid and Manchester United in a heated race to sign Bundesliga full-back Alphonso Davies. The 24-year-old left-back, who plays for Bayern Munich, is on the verge of an exit from the German giants, as his contract will expire in the summer of 2025.

The Bavarians have been unable to agree to a new contract with the Canadian international so far, leading to more speculation about his future in Germany. They may lose him on a free transfer in the summer, but could potentially sell him in the January window for a small fee.

Real Madrid's interest in Alphonso Davies is widely acknowledged. The Spanish giants have looked to sign superstars on a free transfer, with Kylian Mbappe notably leaving Paris Saint-Germain to join them in the summer.

They have a number of potential free agents on their radar, including Davies, who could take up the starting spot in their left-back slot. Fran Garcia and Ferland Mendy are both options in the position, but Los Blancos would like more competition for the duo.

Manchester United have also set their sights on Alphonso Davies as a fix for their left-wing-back situation. The Red Devils have switched to wing-backs under new head coach Ruben Amorim, but Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia have struggled with injuries in recent times.

This has led the Mancunian giants to play Diogo Dalot, a right-back, in the position. With the injury concerns yet to abate, they will turn to the transfer market for a long-term fix, and Alphonso Davies is on their list.

However, according to TBR Football (via Caught Offside), both giants would have to be concerned about interest from north London. Arsenal are pushing to win the Premier League title, having missed out on it by mere points twice in a row.

They see a move for a talented full-back like Alphonso Davies, who they once moved to sign in 2019, as a pathway towards trophies. He opted for a switch to Bayern Munich that year, and has since made 216 appearances in all competitions, scoring 12 goals and providing 34 assists.

Arsenal and Manchester United keep tabs on Real Madrid target

Arsenal and Manchester United are keeping tabs on Real Madrid target Dean Huijsen. The 19-year-old centre-back, who plays for Bournemouth in the Premier League, has impressed with his performances, leading to interest from bigger clubs.

He only just joined the Cherries in a £13 million move from Juventus during the summer, but another move could be on the horizon if he continues playing well. According to Spanish outlet AS (via Metro), the scouts from Real Madrid have the teenage prodigy in their sights.

However, Arsenal and Manchester United have also declared their interest in the centre-back. Indeed, they have reportedly began preparations to discuss and inquire "about his contract situation" at the Vitality Stadium. This season, he has played 13 games for the Cherries, scoring twice.
