Arsenal keeping close tabs on 22-year-old La Liga star ahead of potential transfer move: Reports

Mikel Arteta's Arsenal are interested in signing Espanyol's Joan Garcia as an alternate for David Raya, as per Spanish outlet Fichajes. Garcia has been a part of Espanyol since 2016. The 22-year-old has played for the youth sides of the Spanish club and has eventually made a place for himself in the senior team.

Joan Garcia has played 47 matches for the senior team, conceding 51 goals and keeping 15 clean sheets. He has started all 18 La Liga games for Espanyol this season, helping the side keep two clean sheets. Nevertheless, his performance has been enough to get Mikel Arteta's attention.

The Spanish tactician sees Joan Garcia as a future investment and David Raya's alternate at the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners parted ways with Aaron Ramsdale as they signed Raya on a permanent deal from Brentford earlier this year.

His current contract with the La Liga side will expire in the summer of 2028 and his release clause is expected to be around €25 million. As per the aforementioned report, the Gunners will try to sign the Spanish goalkeeper for a discounted transfer fee.

The north London club aim to build a strong squad without compromising their financial condition. Arsenal are currently third in the Premier League with 36 points in 18 matches, nine points behind leaders Liverpool.

Mikel Arteta's Arsenal are interested in signing Eintracht Frankfurt's Omar Marmoush in the summer transfer window, as per CaughtOffside. The Gunners have joined Liverpool, Newcastle United, Chelsea and Aston Villa in the pursuit of the Egyptian attacker.

Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz have failed to stay consistent for the north London club. Meanwhile, Bukayo Saka and Raheem Sterling's injuries have increased problems for Mikel Arteta. As a result, the Gunners are keen to sign new attackers in the upcoming transfer windows.

As per the aforementioned report, they're one of the Premier League clubs that are interested in Omar Marmoush and his estimated transfer fee is expected to be around £60 million. The 25-year-old joined Eintracht Frankfurt from Wolfsburg on a free transfer in July 2023. Since joining the side, Marmoush has played 65 matches, bagging 35 goals and 18 assists across all competitions.

He's the second-highest goalscorer in the Bundesliga this season with 13 goals, only one behind Bayern Munich's Harry Kane. Omar Marmoush's contract with Frankfurt will expire in the summer of 2027.
