Liverpool and Arsenal are reportedly set to go head-to-head for the signature of Ajax sensation Jorrel Hato. As reported by TBR Football via Teamtalk, the Reds have expressed their interest in the 18-year-old Dutch wonderkid.

Arne Slot's side are reportedly chasing a new left-back to take over from Andrew Robertson who has not been at his best this season. The Scotsman is 30 now and is showing signs of his age which has impacted his game.
Hato, who is equally adept at playing as a centre-back, has done really well this season playing as a left-back. The Netherlands international has made 17 appearances across competitions for Ajax this season, scoring thrice while producing three assists.
As claimed by the aforementioned report, Liverpool scouts have watched the youngster in action several times this season. The long-term Arsenal target is expected to cost around £25 million, which seems pretty much a bargain for a player of his age and potential.
The Reds are reportedly considering other options at left-back as well. Wolverhampton Wanderers star Rayan Ait-Nouri and Bournemouth's Milos Kerkez are also among the options they are considering.
