According to a report by Fichajes.net (via Caught Offside), Arsenal are interested in signing Marcus Thuram from Inter Milan in January 2025. This comes after the Gunners have struggled without a natural finisher in attack this season.

The Frenchman joined Inter Milan on a free transfer from Borussia Mönchengladbach in July 2023 and has established himself as a regular for the Serie A giants. This season, Thuram has been brilliant in attack, scoring 13 goals and registering six assists in 21 games.

His attacking brilliance hasn't gone unnoticed as the Gunners are looking to sign him to enhance the centre-forward position. The Frenchman could feature as a striker and a left-winger when the need arises. Hence, his versatility could soothe Mikel Arteta's dynamic and flexible style of play in attack.

The aforementioned report claims that the Gunners are presently lacking the presence of a lethal finisher due to Bukayo Saka's injury. It is believed that Thuram could come into the attack and improve the scoring proficiency if signed.

Due to their outstanding start in both the Serie A and the UEFA Champions League this season, Inter Milan might be unwilling to sell Thuram. However, a big-money offer could help in persuading them to sell the Frenchman.

Thuram is contracted at Inter Milan till June 2028 and he's valued at €75 million by Transfermarkt.

"It’s an injury and he will be fine."

Saka has scored nine goals and registered 13 assists in 24 appearances for Arsenal this season. The Englishman is recovering from a hamstring injury and could be on the sidelines for several weeks.
