Arsenal preparing to make bid for 22-year-old Argentina star in January: Reports

Mikel Arteta's Arsenal are looking to sign Boca Juniors goalkeeper Leandro Brey in the upcoming winter transfer window, as per the Mirror. Brey has played for the youth and senior teams of Argentine side CA Los Andes.

The 22-year-old left Los Andes to join Boca Juniors in February 2022. Since then, he has played 22 matches for the La Bombonera outfit, conceding 16 goals and keeping 11 clean sheets. His decent performance in Liga Profesional has garnered the attention of the Gunners.

Brey signed a four-year contract extension with Boca Juniors in December 2023. As per the aforementioned report, the Gunners are preparing a deal for the Argentine goalkeeper.

Arsenal are looking forward to completing his signing in January and then loaning him back to Boca Juniors for the remainder of the season. Leandro Brey was also a part of La Albiceleste's squad for the 2024 Paris Olympics. The Boca Juniors goalkeeper has made 13 appearances for the under-23 team of La Albiceleste.

Arsenal are interested in signing Brighton & Hove Albion's Evan Ferguson, as per Ben Jacobs via GIVEMESPORT. The Gunners are keen to sign a consistent performance in the frontline, who can score goals.

Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz have failed to provide consistent performances. Additionally, the injuries of Bukayo Saka and Raheem Sterling have increased further problems for the north London club. The Gunners were interested in signing RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko but the Slovenian forward's departure is not a topic of discussion for the Bundesliga side.

As per the aforementioned report, the Gunners have shifted their focus to Brighton's Evan Ferguson. The Irish attacker has been part of the Seagulls since January 2021 and has made 79 appearances for the senior team, bagging 17 goals and five assists.

Ferguson is valued at around £60 million and his ongoing contract with the Seagulls will expire in the summer of 2029.
