Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford in the ongoing January transfer window, according to a report by Caught Offside. This could be due to the injury of their right-wingers Bukayo Saka and Ethan Nwaneri.
Since joining Brentford from Troyes for a reported €6.50 million fee in August 2019, Mbeumo's valuation has witnessed an uptrend.
In the 2024-25 campaign, the right winger has been excellent on the right flank, scoring 13 goals and providing four assists in 23 games. His outstanding start hasn't gone unnoticed as the Gunners are looking to sign him to enhance their attack. Aside from his preferred right-wing position, Mbeumo could feature as a supporting striker and center-forward.
Given his versatility to feature in multiple attacking positions, he could be a decent signing for the Gunners.
This could be tied to the idea that he could feature as a striker when needed. Hence, arguably solving the Gunners’ loopholes in the center-forward position.
Mbeumo is contracted at Brentford till June 2026 and is valued at €50 million by Transfermarkt. However, the Gunners will have to defeat rivals Manchester United in the race to sign Mbeumo.
The report mentioned earlier also claims that Brentford are keen on keeping the Cameroon international.
