Barcelona have come up with a unique plan to keep both Pau Victor and Dani Olmo at the club even if they fail to get them registered, according to SPORT. The Spanish duo's registration with LaLiga expired at the end of December and they are no longer available for selection.

The Catalans are working diligently to address the issue and recent reports have suggested that they remain confident of a positive outcome. However, that hasn't stopped the Spanish giants from exploring alternate options and backup plans.

If LaLiga and the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) do not authorize the current proposal outlined by Barcelona, they will switch to a plan B. As a last resort, the Catalans will terminate both player's contracts.

That would allow the players to join other clubs this month. However, the termination will only last for six months, as Blaugrana are keen to re-sign them this summer.

While the plan will only be deployed as an emergency, it has already been approved by Barcelona's legal teams. However, the entire episode will depend heavily on the players, and the club will need their full cooperation to get it across the line. The Catalans hold both Olmo and Victor in high regard and are willing to do everything possible to keep them at Camp Nou.

Dani Olmo arrived at Barcelona last summer from RB Leipzig in a reported €60m deal. The Spaniard rose through the ranks at Camp Nou but initially left in 2014 before he could break into the starting XI.

Olmo joined Dinamo Zagreb and soon caught the eye with his efforts. Leipzig secured his services in 2020 and the 26-year-old took his game to a higher level at the Red Bull Arena. He won two DFB Pokal trophies and one DLF Supercup with the Bundesliga club.

Last summer, Olmo helped Spain win Euro 2024, finishing as the tournament's joint-top scorer with three goals. His efforts caused a stir across Europe and forced the Catalans to bring him back to the club.

The Spaniard has been in decent form this season, although he has also struggled with injuries. However, Dani Olmo has still registered six goals and one assist from 15 games across competitions.

He has started nine games under Hansi Flick and has already proven himself to the German manager. The player's contract with Barcelona runs until 2030.
