Barcelona are ready to let 22-year-old La Masia graduate Ansu Fati leave as a free agent in the summer of 2025, as per Spanish outlet SPORT. The Spaniard was once considered one of Barca's top academy talents but was slowly sidelined owing to frequent injuries.
Ansu Fati rose from Barca's youth academy, La Masia, and made his senior debut in August 2019. In his early days, Fati proved himself to be a promising talent with his speed, dribbling skills and ball control. However a crucial knee injury in November 2020 notably hampered his progress as he couldn't regain his previous form after returning.
The Spaniard continues to suffer from frequent injuries, including two he sustained this season. In 119 outings for Barcelona, Fati has contributed 29 goals and nine assists across competitions.
According to SPORT, Barcelona are open to letting Ansu Fati leave as a free agent next summer if his current contract, which runs until 2027, can be terminated. If the Spain international leaves the club, Saudi Arabia could be a probable destination for the attacker.
The aforementioned report suggests that the Catalans are not planning to offload any player in the winter transfer window as it will be tough to sign replacements. However, they are open to letting Ansu Fati leave if he can attract an offer than can benefit the club as well as guarantee more playtime for the La Masia graduate.
Fati's potential departure could be beneficial for Barcelona as it will reduce their wage bill. Moreover, it will also ease their financial situation a little and enable them to possibly make other signings. As per the report, LaLiga side Sevilla are among the clubs interested in signing Ansu Fati.
Barcelona keen on selling Vitor Roque in the upcoming summer transfer window: Reports
According to SPORT, Barcelona are looking to sell 19-year-old Brazilian striker Vitor Roque in the summer of 2025. Roque joined the Catalan side in July 2023 but did not manage to get enough game time. He made 16 appearances for La Blaugrana, contributing two goals.
In August 2024, Vitor Roque signed for LaLiga side Real Betis on a season-long loan deal with an option to extend it for another year. However, the aforementioned report suggests that Roque is unlikely to return to Barcelona. Therefore, the Catalan side is keen on selling the striker to another side, which can benefit both Real Betis and them.
Clubs interested in signing Vitor Roque include Brazilian side Palmeiras and Tottenham Hotspur. Real Betis also have the option to sign the player for a reported €25 million to secure 80% of his rights, but they are unlikely to be able to afford the transfer. The Catalans are reportedly also open to selling him to Sporting CP.
