Nottingham Forest has informed Barcelona and Real Madrid that Murillo's potential transfer fee could be in the region of £70 million, according to a recent revelation by Fichajes.net.

Murillo has been one of the Premier League breakout players in the 2024-25 campaign. Since joining Forest reportedly for €12 million in August 2023, the Brazilian has cemented his spot in the starting XI.

This season, Murillo has registered 11 appearances for Nottingham Forest across all competitions, representing 990 minutes on the pitch. Murillo has also proven to be an excellent ball-winning centre-back and his aerial proficiency has been outstanding.

Madrid's interest in signing Murillo could be tied to their dilemma in defense as Eder Militao has been ruled out of the season. While David Alaba is presently recovering from an injury. Madrid's hierarchy might be looking to sign Murillo as a makeshift center-back in the upcoming transfer window.

Meanwhile, Barca could be looking to sign Murillo as Inigo Martinez's long-term replacement, as the Spaniard's contract would expire next summer. Given Murillo's reported £70 million transfer fee, Real Madrid and Barcelona might be looking to consider other options in the market.

The Brazilian is contracted at Nottingham Forest till June 2028, and he's valued at €40 million by Transfermarkt.

Jonathan David has expressed his long desire to feature for Barcelona. While speaking in an interview, David said (via Barca Blaugranes):

“Barcelona was always the team I grew up supporting. When you grow up supporting a team, it’s your dream to play for them.”

The Lille striker has had an outstanding 2024-25 campaign start. In 15 appearances, David has netted 11 goals across all competitions.

His contract at Lille expires next summer, and he has yet to sign an extension. This implies that he could leave the French side as a free agent at the end of the season.

Hansi Flick's side could leverage this opportunity and sign him for free in the summer transfer window. Given his outstanding finishing proficiency, his presence could improve Barca's attack if signed. He could also be a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski.
