Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez is reportedly linked to a €100 million move to Manchester United as the Red Devils seek to reinforce their squad. Lopez's links come in the wake of Ruben Amorim taking over as head coach at Old Trafford.

Lopez has quickly risen to become one of Barcelona's most significant players. The 21-year-old joined the club's famed academy, La Masia at 13 years in 2016. He made his senior team debut in August 2023 in a LaLiga fixture against Villarreal.

In 51 outings across competitions for La Blaugrana, Lopez has recorded 12 goals and three assists. The Spaniard was also crucial to Spain securing gold in the 2024 Olympics by recording six goals in as many appearances.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes.net, Manchester United are interested in signing Fermin Lopez. New head coach Ruben Amorim reportedly considers the La Masia graduate a good replacement for Bruno Fernandes. The Red Devils are ready to offer a whopping €100 million for the young midfielder next summer.

Lopez's current contract with Barcelona runs until June 2029, with the Spaniard being an integral part of Hansi Flick's team. Although he has a reported release clause of €500 million, United are hopeful that a lucrative offer could convince Barca to negotiate.

Manchester United's interest in Lopez hints at Ruben Amorim's vision as the Portuguese tactician seeks to fill the gaps in the Red Devils squad. He seems focused on building a young and versatile core to regain the Premier League giants' lost glory.

According to a report by TEAMTalk, Barcelona and Manchester United are in a race to sign Bayern Munich full-back Alphonso Davies next summer. The Canadian's contract with the Bundesliga giants expires in 2025, with Bayern reportedly unable to reach an agreement with the player's entourage.

The same report claims that United see Davies as an excellent option to bolster their defense amid doubts about Luke Shaw's fitness. However, Barcelona could have an edge in signing Davies as he has previously played under Hansi Flick.

The German tactician managed Davies at Bayern between 2019 and 2021, with the duo notably winning the continental treble in 2020. Flick has reportedly requested Barcelona to come up with a blockbuster offer to bring the Canada international to Camp Nou.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are unwilling to give up, especially as they are in a better position to meet Davies' reported wage demands. The 24-year-old is reportedly demanding £240 per week, a sticking point in the Red Devils' pursuit.

Apart from Barca and Man United, Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Alphonso Davies. Los Blancos have reportedly held talks with the defender's entourage. It remains to be seen where Davies ends up next summer.
