Arsenal join Manchester United in the race for Premier League attacker: Reports

Arsenal have reportedly joined the race to sign in-form Brentford attacker Bryan Mbuemo this month. As reported by Caught Offside, the Gunners are looking to add more firepower to their attack in the absence of injured Bukayo Saka and Ethan Nwaneri.

The report claims that they are eyeing Mbuemo as a key target for the winter transfer window but face competition from Manchester United. Mbuemo has been a key player for Brentford since joining the Bees in 2019 from Troyes in a reported €6.5 million deal.

The Manchester United and Arsenal target is enjoying the best season of his career this time around. The versatile attacker has scored 13 goals and provided three assists in 20 Premier League games this season.

Mbuemo is not only a reliable goalscorer and creator but also a versatile player, who can play either as a right winger or a number nine. Contracted at the Gtech Community Stadium until 2026, he is valued at €50 million by Transfermarkt.

Caught Offside claims that Brentford are desperate to keep Mbuemo at least until the end of the season. If the Cameroon international is to be lured away by either Arsenal or Manchester United, it could cost a premium.
