According to Italian outlet Tutto mercato Web, Chelsea are set to part ways with Italian prodigy Cesare Casadei for a fee of €20 million. The Blues now have a large squad given their numerous signings in the summer, and they are now considering Casadei as surplus to requirements.

Casadei joined Chelsea from Inter Milan in 2022 for a reported fee of €14.86 million. The following year, he became a sensation as he played a crucial role in Italy’s journey to the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup final. Casadei, who was 20 at the time, bagged two awards in the competition — the Golden Ball and the Golden Boot.

The Italian midfielder registered three goals and two assists in 36 games for Chelsea last season, including 11 Premier League outings. However, he has yet to feature in an EPL game this season. He was just an unused substitute in two league games and wasn’t included in the matchday squad in other league matches. His five appearances for the Blues this term have only come in the UEFA Conference League and the Carabao Cup.

As per the abovementioned source, Dutch side Feyenoord are already in contact with Chelsea for Cesare Casadei and are willing to offer €12m for the midfielder, with a hefty percentage of sell-on rights. While the Blues are reportedly looking to part ways with Casadei if they get an offer of around €20 million, the player’s current market value is €10 million, as per Transfermarkt.

Since moving to Stamford Bridge, Casadei has only made 16 appearances for the west London club across competitions.

Chelsea will listen to transfer offers for midfield duo in January – Reports

According to Mirror, Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca is willing to let Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Carney Chukwuemeka leave the club on loan in the January transfer window. Both players are struggling to break into the starting XI at Stamford Bridge.

Chukwuemeka joined Chelsea in 2022, while Dewsbury-Hall moved to the west London club along with his manager at Leicester City, Enzo Maresca, in the summer. Both players have found themselves on the fringes of the first team under Maresca.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has made 14 appearances for the Blues this term but only made it to the starting lineup in the UEFA Conference League and the Carabao Cup. His five appearances in the EPL came as a substitute.

Carney Chukwuemeka, on the other hand, has made five appearances for the Blues across competitions this season. Unlike Dewsbury-Hall, Chukwuemeka is yet to feature in an EPL game for the Blues this term, with his five appearances only coming in the Conference League and Carabao Cup.

Amid the potential departure saga of Dewsbury-Hall and Chukwuemeka from Stamford Bridge, it is believed that the wages of both players could impede their potential move. Any agreement would require the Blues to contribute a percentage of their wages to get them off the wage bill.

Leicester City are believed to be interested in re-signing their former player while Chukwuemeka could leave for Crystal Palace, who have been monitoring him for a while.
