Chelsea are reportedly working on plans to sign Bundesliga striker Omar Marmoush, who has been linked with a move to Liverpool. The 25-year-old ace, who plays for Eintracht Frankfurt, has been on a remarkable run of form this season, creating a potential opportunity for a big move to England.

Marmoush has already scored 18 goals and provided 12 assists in merely 24 appearances across competitions this season. His numbers, halfway through the season, are already much better than last season when he scored 17 goals and provided six assists in 41 appearances.

Unsurprisingly, clubs in England have taken notice of his talent, as Liverpool have been in talks with the forward and his club (via Football Transfers). They are prepared to sign him, but it would have to be a summer move, with the report claiming that a move in January is highly unlikely.

Marmoush has also been linked to Arsenal, who have been interested in the forward since 2022. The report from Football Transfers has revealed that the Gunners are in pole position to sign him. However, they will be wary about an emergence of strong interest from west London.

According to Caught Offside (via Chelsea News), the Blues' interest is not yet serious, but they are already working on plans to move for the striker. Other English clubs like Newcastle United and Aston Villa are also showing interest in Marmoush, and could potentially join the battle for his services.

England defender interested in joining Liverpool amidst Chelsea links

England defender Marc Guehi is reportedly interested in joining Liverpool, amidst links to Chelsea and other clubs like Newcastle. The 24-year-old defender has shone at Crystal Palace, leading to bids last summer as well, but he decided against an exit at the time.

This season, he has continued in fairly remarkable form this season, participating in nearly every game the Eagles have played so far. He has captained them to 22 games in all competitions, scoring two goals and providing one assist.

There has been interest in the England international, especially from his former club Chelsea. The Blues notably let him leave for Crystal Palace in the summer of 2021 after the defender came through their academy but struggled to find space in the first team.

A return could be on the cards, as the west London side might hope. However, according to The Sun (via Metro), the Eagles captain is interested in a move to join Premier League leaders Liverpool. According to the report, the Reds have also shown some interest in Guehi's services and may be willing to buy him from Crystal Palace. This deal could include a swap of youngster Ben Doak.
