Chelsea are currently looking to sign Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford, according to a report by Fichajes.net (via Thehardtackle). It is reportedly expected that Mbeumo's signing could be in the region of €60 million.

In the Premier League, Mbeumo has grown to be one of the most efficient strikers in recent years. In the 2024-25 campaign, he has scored eight goals and registered one assist in 13 games across all competitions.

His impressive attacking numbers have not gone unnoticed, as Chelsea's hierarchy is monitoring the player. In terms of versatility, Mbeumo is primarily a striker. On the flip side, he could also feature as a right-winger and supporting striker.

The Blues' interest in signing him could be a strategic move to create some degree of competition for Nicolas Jackson. Mbeumo's signing could bolster their attack, given his familiarity with the Premier League.

The 25-year-old is contracted at Brentford until June 2026. This could imply that Brentford might be reluctant to sell him. Arsenal and Liverpool's interest could also increase Brentford's valuation for Mbeumo.

While Chelsea are reportedly taking the lead in his pursuit, his potential presence could transform their attack. However, Gyokeres’ contract with Sporting is only set to expire in June 2028.
