Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly open to leaving Al-Nassr and taking up a new challenge in the summer of 2025. The Portuguese talisman's current contract with the Saudi Pro League giants runs until June 2025.

Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in January 2023 after his contract with Manchester United was terminated after a reported fallout with then manager Erik ten Hag. Ronaldo's arrival in the Saudi Pro League led to multiple big superstars following suit, including Neymar Jr., Karim Benzema, and Sadio Mane.

The legendary forward has continued to break records since moving to the Saudi Pro League. Ronaldo became the highest goalscorer in the league in the 2023-24 season with 35 goals. The Portuguese legend is yet to win silverware with Al-Nassr but has contributed 74 goals and 18 assists in 83 outings across competitions.

According to Spanish outlet MARCA (h/t GOAL), Cristiano Ronaldo has not ruled out leaving Al-Nassr in the summer of 2025. He is reportedly open to taking up a new project and does not want to retire anytime soon.

Despite his advancing age, Ronaldo, 39, has been setting records in every league he has played in. In 2024, he became the first men's player to reach 900 career goals. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has also expressed his desire to reach 1000 goals while speaking on his YouTube channel.

During his speech at the Globe Soccer Awards on December 27, Cristiano Ronaldo opened up about potentially retiring from football and his future plans. The Al-Nassr superstar was honored with the Best Middle Eastern Player Award at the gala. He said (via MARCA):

"I'm going to be 40 years old, but I'm not finished, I want to score more goals, I want to keep winning more with the national team. I'll keep going."

Ronaldo also spoke about his plans after retirement, adding:

"I'm not a coach and I'm never going to be one. Maybe one day I'll see myself as a club owner, I don't know."

Irrespective of Ronaldo's retirement plans, the Portugal international will go down as one of the greatest footballers of all time. He has maintained the highest standards throughout his career, winning titles in England, Spain, and Italy. The iconic attacker is often considered among the legends of both Manchester United and Real Madrid.
