Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr teammate Talisca is reportedly not going to be sold in the January transfer window. The reasons for the Saudi Pro League outfit's refusal seemingly stem from the fact that there aren't suitable offers for the former Brazil international (via @NFC1World).

The need to move the attacker on may come from the fact that his contract with his current employer runs out in the summer of 2025. Therefore, they may need to sell him sometime during 2025 to avoid the player walking away for free once his agreement expires.

However, the 30-year-old is still playing a significant role for Al-Nassr in the 2024-25 campaign. Throughout the year, he's started nine of his 10 appearances in the Saudi Pro League. Overall, Talisca has made 19 appearances across competitions, bagging eight goals in the process.

He joined the Riyadh-based outfit in the summer of 2021 from Guangzhou FC in China for a reported fee of €8 million. Since joining the club, the Brazilian has made 104 appearances across competitions, bagging 76 goals and 10 assists.

A move away might suit the former Benfica star, given that Al-Nassr are unlikely to challenge for the league title this season. At the moment, Talisca and Co. are placed fourth in the Saudi Arabian first-division standings, 11 points behind leaders Al-Ittihad.

Al-Nassr sensation Cristiano Ronaldo has maintained that the quality of the Saudi Pro League is better than Ligue 1. The comment has seemed to have caught the attention of many, given France is one of the world's leading footballing countries.

The comments from the Portugal legend came during the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai. When quizzed about this, the 39-year-old striker said (via talkSPORT):

"Saudi League is better than Ligue 1, of course. France only has PSG. The rest are finished. Try to sprint in 38, 39 40-degree weather and see."

He added:

"It is difficult to become a champion in Saudi. This year Al Hilal are better, Al Ittihad are top of the league, but I believe that we have to push hard to be champions."
"I've been champion everywhere I have (played) and I believe I will be champion, but I've won this trophy for scoring so many goals and assists and maintaining my level."

Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in January 2023 on a free transfer after having his agreement mutually terminated at Manchester United. Since moving to Saudi Arabia, he hasn't won the first-division title yet.
