European giants Bayern Munich have reportedly joined Real Madrid in the race to sign Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold. The 26-year-old has his current deal at Anfield expiring this summer and has been heavily linked with an exit.
The Merseyside giants might be enjoying themselves on the pitch this season under Arne Slot but it's a complete mess off the pitch. Three of the club's best players Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Alexander-Arnold have all entered the final six months of their respective deals.
And, despite being a homegrown hero, it is Alexander-Arnold's future that has attracted the most attention. Various reports have claimed that he has made up his mind about joining Real Madrid on a free transfer next summer.
However, Bayern Munich have now also joined the race for the Liverpool vice-captain as claimed by sportBIBLE. The Bavarian giants are facing a similar situation with Joshua Kimmich and are reportedly eyeing Alexander-Arnold as the replacement.
Alexander-Arnold came through Liverpool's own youth ranks and has been a key player for the Reds since making his debut in 2016. He has made 335 appearances for the Merseyside giants to date scoring 20 goals and providing 85 assists.
The 26-year-old is regarded as one of the most creative players in Europe despite being a full-back. Quite naturally, there is no shortage of interest in his services, with Real Madrid and Bayern Munich interested.
