Former Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale is reportedly considering a second transfer this season, with Newcastle United said to be interested. The England international has long been a target for the Magpies, and they are considering a January move for him, as per The Sun.

Ramsdale left Arsenal to join Southampton this summer after losing his place in the starting XI to David Raya. The 26-year-old has been in fine form for the Saints despite their league struggles this season which has seen them languish at the bottom of the table.

The Sun reports that Newcastle United are prepared to take Ramsdale, who has conceded 27 goals this season, away from the relegation battle at St. Mary's Stadium. The Magpies find themselves in dire need of goalkeeping cover due to another injury-hit campaign for Nick Pope, and Martin Dubravka closing in on a move to Al-Shabab.

Southampton paid £25 million for the England international, who has been a key player for them this season. Ramsdale quickly established himself as the first-choice for the Saints and has only missed six games through injury this season.

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe is a fan of Ramsdale but has his eyes on other goalkeepers as well, including Burnley star James Trafford. A move for the former Arsenal shot-stopper, however, appears to be more likely at this point, and the Magpies are lining up a bid for him.

Arsenal eye move for Brentford ace - Reports

Arsenal are considering a move to sign Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo in the summer transfer window, as per a report from Sky Germany. The Cameroon international has been a standout performer for the Bees since their promotion to the Premier League and could well be set for a big move.

Mikel Arteta's side were keen to get Mbeumo as cover for the injured Bukayo Saka this month, but a move has been declared impossible by Bees boss Thomas Frank. The Gunners are now prepared to defer their interest until the summer and make a move to sign the 25-year-old then.

Mbeumo has a contract with Brentford until 2026 and has yet to reach an agreement with the London side over a new deal, despite having just 18 months left on it. With all of Manchester United, Liverpool, and Arsenal credited with interest, the forward may move away from the Gtech Stadium in the summer.
