Barcelona boss Hansi Flick has reportedly identified the key issues behind the Catalan side's recent dip in form. Flick's side have won only one out of their last seven league games, marking their worst LaLiga run in 16 years.

Despite starting the 2024-25 season on a high, Barcelona have suffered a massive dip in form and consistency since November. La Blaugrana were at the top of the LaLiga table but have since been dethroned by rivals Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid. The Catalan side are now third in the league with 38 points off 19 games.

According to a report by SPORT, Hansi Flick has identified the key concerns behind Barcelona's recent poor form. The German tactician believes his side lacks motivation and intensity against less prestigious games. Key losses against teams like Leganes (1-0) and Las Palmas (2-1) have troubled Flick as the coach feels his team is not maintaining a consistent level in all games.

Flick's train of thought seems logical, given Barcelona have maintained impressive form while facing some bigger teams this season. The Catalan giants notably beat Bayern Munich 4-1 in the UEFA Champions League and Real Madrid 4-0 in LaLiga.

Despite their recent poor form in the league, they have qualified for the UEFA Champions League round of 16 with recent wins against Borussia Dortmund (3-2) and Brest (3-0). The aforementioned report suggests that Hansi Flick was also impressed by Barcelona's gameplay in their latest 2-1 loss against Atletico Madrid in LaLiga.

The German tactician believes it is essential for the team to approach all games with a strong mindset. Regardless of the opponent, Hansi Flick wants Barca to show a high level of performance in every game to return to winning ways.

According to a report by SPORT journalist Toni Juanmarti, Hansi Flick could end his managerial career after his stint at Barcelona. The German coach joined the Catalan giants in the summer of 2024 by replacing former coach Xavi. His current deal runs until 2026.

It is too early to talk about a potential extension or renewal. However, Flick's close circle reportedly believes his time at Camp Nou could be his final one as manager. Despite the recent dip in form, Hansi Flick has done a decent job with the club in his first season. The aforementioned report claims the Barca management has complete trust in the German's project.

Under Flick's guidance, Barca notably beat Bayern Munich for the first time in nine years. They also beat Real Madrid after four consecutive El Clasico losses. However, Flick will have to turn things around in 2025 with Barca set to compete in the Copa del Rey, Supercopa de Espana, and the UEFA Champions League knockout stages. They will also look to regain their position in LaLiga.
