According to Manchester Evening News, Kobbie Mainoo is unhappy with the renewal offer from Manchester United amid interest from Chelsea. The 19-year-old exploded onto the scene last season and is highly regarded at Old Trafford.

He is part of a squad that has struggled this campaign, first under Erik ten Hag and also after Ruben Amorim's arrival. However, the Red Devils have the player firmly in their plans.

The Englishman was one of the four players, along with Alejandro Garnacho, Rasmus Hojlund, and Andre Onana, reportedly not put on the market last summer. Manchester United now want to tie him down to a new deal but the player is unimpressed by their proposal.

Chelsea are keeping a close eye on the situation and could dive in, should an opportunity emerge. The Red Devils would ideally like him to stay, but the Premier League's Profitability and Sustainability Rules could tempt them to let him go.

Mainoo rose through the ranks at Old Trafford and his proposed departure could be logged as pure profit in the books. The player is under contract until 2027, with an option for an additional year, but Manchester United want to end any speculation regarding his future.

However, the Red Devils may have to return with an improved offer if they wish to hold on to their prized asset. Meanwhile, Chelsea have assembled some of the best young talents in the world at Stamford Bridge, and Mainoo could fit in nicely on their roster. The Englishman has registered 17 appearances this season but has started only five of Amorim's 12 games in charge.

Manchester United and Chelsea are reportedly among the clubs offered the chance to sign Dusan Vlahovic this summer. The Red Devils have struggled to score goals this season and are expected to sign a proven No. 9 this year.

Vlahovic has registered 12 goals and two assists from 23 games across competitions for Juventus this season. His contract at Turin runs out in just under 18 months and he is expected to cost around €65m.

Manchester United could afford that asking price but are likely to face competition from Chelsea for the 24-year-old. The Blues wanted to sign Victor Osimhen last summer but failed to secure a deal. They remain eager to reinforce the position at the end of this season and Vlahovic could be an option.
