Real Madrid superstar Kylian Mbappe has reportedly expressed frustration about Carlo Ancelotti's tactics at the club. The Frenchman joined Los Blancos as a free agent from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the summer of 2024.

Since his arrival, Mbappe has not performed to the best of his abilities. The French superstar has recorded eight goals and two assists in 15 appearances across competitions, including three penalties. Real Madrid also suffered two crucial defeats against Barcelona in LaLiga (4-0) and AC Milian in the Champions League (3-1), where Mbappe was unable to find the net.

According to a report by Mundo Deportivo, Kylian Mbappe has expressed his dissatisfaction with Carlo Ancelotti's tactics at Real Madrid to his closed ones. The Frenchman is reportedly not happy with Ancelotti's system, which is quite different from the style of play he was accustomed to at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

A previous report by SPORT also claimed that Mbappe and his entourage were dissatisfied with the Frenchman's position at Real Madrid. The former PSG star has been playing as a center forward at Madrid since his arrival, while he reportedly prefers to play as a left winger.

However, Vinicius Jr. occupies the left wing at the club, making things complicated for Mbappe. Moreover, Mbappe is also not the focal point of the attack in the Los Blancos squad like he was at PSG. Therefore, several positional and squad-related problems have likely contributed to the Frenchman's poor form this season.

According to Spanish outlet Relevo, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has identified Kylian Mbappe as the main problem with Los Blancos this season. The Italian tactician reportedly expected much more from the Frenchman in his earlier games and is dissatisfied with his lack of effort defensively.

Mbappe's arrival has made Madrid's stellar attack quite disjointed compared to last season. Jude Bellingham, who flourished in an attacking midfielder role last season (36 G/A in 42 games) has been shifted to the right or central midfield position. Mbappe's preference to play in the left has also complicated things for Vini Jr who is used to playing in the left. Moreover, one of Los Blancos' star forwards, Rodrygo, has been relegated to a secondary role.

The aforementioned report also suggests that Kylian Mbappe's lack of goals and inability to help his teammates when not in possession has further disappointed Carlo Ancelotti. The Frenchman was notably caught offside eight times in Real Madrid's 4-0 loss to Barcelona at home at LaLiga.

Mbappe's lack of effort has made the squad susceptible to counter attacks, per the report. Additionally, there is a major lack of coordination between the midfield and the attack; something that was not observed last season with Vini Jr, Rodrygo and Bellingham leading the Los Blancos attack.

Despite recent struggles, Kylian Mbappe is still widely considered one of the best forwards in world football. The Frenchman could likely be taking more time to adjust to Ancelotti's system. Overall problems with Los Blancos squad this season could also be hindering his progress, such as the lack of creativity in the midfield and lack of coordination in attack.
