Liverpool have a task on their hands to keep Tyler Morton at the club

Liverpool youngster Tyler Morton has emerged as a transfer target for multiple sides across Europe this summer. The talented midfielder enjoyed a successful season on loan at Hull City in the Championship, his second such loan spell.

Morton began his football career at Liverpool, having turned down an offer from Everton and joined their Merseyside rivals aged just 7. The defensive midfielder made his professional debut for the Reds in 2021 under the tutelage of Jurgen Klopp, who rated him very highly.

Liverpool have come under new management, with Arne Slot already in charge of the squad, having replaced Klopp at the end of the 2023-24 season. The former Feyenoord manager will be without most of his senior players for the start of pre-season. This is due to their national team duties at the UEFA Euro 2024 and Copa America 2024.

This will provide a chance for younger players such as Morton to impress, but the 21-year-old is already attracting interest from elsewhere. The Times reports that the England U-21 international is on the radars of Sevilla and RB Leipzig for a move this summer.

Morton scored three goals and provided five assists from his position at the base of the midfield in 39 league appearances for Hull City in 2023-24. He also shone in the 2022-23 season on loan at Blackburn Rovers and is prepared for a shot at regular first-team football.

The young midfielder will look to hold talks with the new manager to understand where he is viewed ahead of next season. He will hope to impress the new manager in pre-season with a view to playing regularly next season.

Liverpool show interest in experienced French midfielder - Reports

Liverpool have reportedly initiated contact with France international midfielder Adrien Rabiot over possibly moving to the club this summer. The Juventus man is set to see his contract with the Italian giants expire at the end of this month.

Sport Italia reports the interest of the Reds in the 29-year-old, who is representing his country at the ongoing Euro 2024 tournament. Real Madrid are also said to be interested in the former Paris Saint-Germain man, who has had a contract offer from Juventus to extend his stay in Italy.

Liverpool are openly in the market for a new midfielder and a move for Rabiot makes sense stylistically and financially. The Frenchman will arrive as a free agent and having played at the very highest level, will instantly improve the Reds' midfield.
