Lionel Messi's Inter Miami have reportedly joined the race to sign Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah on a Bosman move after the end of the 2024-25 season.

Over the last few weeks, Salah has found himself to be a hot topic of transfer speculation. He is in the final seven months of his current deal and has yet to receive a new contract offer. As a result, a number of clubs are keeping close tabs on the former Chelsea and AS Roma star's current situation.

Now, according to Caught Offside, Inter Miami could offer the star a significant contract offer should the Egyptian end up becoming a free agent next summer. Messi's outfit are expected to face difficult competition from Saudi Pro League clubs Al-Ittihad, Al-Nassr, Al-Hilal, and Al-Ahli in the future.

Should the three-time Premier League Golden Boot award winner join Messi's outfit, he could prove to be sensational signing for them. He would pop up as a starter on the right flank and combine with Messi and Luis Suarez.

Salah, who has drawn interest from Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Inter Milan of late, has faced Messi as an opponent twice so far. He has yet to be on the winning team in a match against the Argentina captain's club.

Pundit asserts Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah has decided to depart as free agent next year

Speaking to The Sun, ex-Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp shared his two cents on Mohamed Salah's future at Liverpool. He said (h/t Metro):

"If I were in Arne Slot's place, as his manager at Anfield, I'd be thinking that Salah is gone after this season, no matter what cryptic messages he puts out to muddy the waters over his future. If he hasn't signed by now, then to me [he] is gone, despite those comments about the club not coming up with a new offer like he did."

Redknapp, who is also a former West Ham United manager, added:

"He could have gone last year but was probably thinking that most of the £100 million or even £200 million Liverpool would have got for him, will be going his way in 12 months' time, so he is sitting it out. In some ways, if he wins the Premier League title again this season, it seems like a fitting way to go out."

The 101-cap Egypt international has been in stellar form this season, registering 12 goals and 10 assists in 19 overall outings for his club.

Liverpool, on the other hand, are currently atop the 2024-25 Premier League standings with 31 points from 12 matches.
