Liverpool have been dealt with a major injury blow with Conor Bradley set to miss a few weeks of action. As claimed by The Anfield Talk on X (formerly Twitter), the 21-year-old has been sidelined with an injury.
Bradley missed Liverpool's home fixture against Chelsea following the international break during which he captained Northern Ireland. Now, the full-back is set to miss a few weeks of action as he looks to recover from an injury.
The young right-back's rise through the ranks was one of the brightest things in Jurgen Klopp's final season in charge at Anfield. Bradley played a key role for the Reds last season when Trent Alexander-Arnold was out with an injury.
Klopp's successor Arne Slot is also evidently a fan of the Northern Irishman, having used him on six occasions this campaign. He has started just one game this season but has come on from the bench on five occasions across all competitions.
Bradley has so far made 34 appearances for the Merseyside giants, having scored once while providing seven assists. He has been capped 21 times for Northern Ireland thus far since making his debut against Malta in May 30, 2021. He has recently been handed the armband by Michael O’Neil.
Liverpool have one of the best right-backs in world football in Trent Alexander-Arnold and have a decent option in Joe Gomez if needed. However, with games coming thick and fast at this stage, Bradley's absence could pose a big challenge to Arne Slot.
Liverpool ready to battle Arsenal for Premier League midfielder's signature: Reports
Liverpool are reportedly set to battle Arsenal for the signature of highly rated Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Carlos Baleba. According to Graeme Bailey on TBR Football (via The Hard Tackle), the two title challengers have both set their sights on the Cameroon international.
Baleba has caught the eye since his reported £23 million switch from Lille in the summer of 2023. The 20-year-old has attracted interest from Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur as well.
The midfield dynamo has made 46 appearances for Brighton so far and has caught the eye with his dynamism, work rate, and tackling. He has made nine appearances this campaign and has produced two goals and as many assists.
Arsenal and Liverpool are among Baleba's long-term admirers and reportedly wanted him even prior to his move to the Amex Stadium. The Gunners could replace Thomas Partey with him, while he could be Wataru Endo's replacement at Anfield.
