Liverpool have spoken to Bayern Munich regarding their versatile midfielder Joshua Kimmich, who has also been targeted by Real Madrid and Arsenal. The 29-year-old star is entering the final year of his contract, and if he is unable to agree a new deal with the Bavarians, he could leave on a free transfer.

Bayern Munich do not want the current situation to end up with Kimmich potentially leaving them for free. This has given rise to rumors that they are more than willing to sell him for a fee this summer, so his exit can add some funds to their wallet. Other European juggernauts who are monitoring the situation include Liverpool, Arsenal and Real Madrid.

However, according to Mundo Deportivo (via Sport Bible), the Merseyside giants have taken it a step further by making an enquiry about Kimmich. They will like to know if they can get Joshua Kimmich, who played 43 games last season at Bayern Munich, for a reduced price if they move to sign him this summer.

Currently, though, Kimmich is a part of the Germany national team, who is now in the knockout stages of EURO 2024. His future may be uncertain, but the midfielder will hope to keep his focus away from club matters and potentially help his country, who are hosting the competition, win the EUROs.

Liverpool reportedly in touch with Real Madrid winger

Real Madrid winger Rodrygo could potentially be on his way out of the Santiago Bernabeu, as attacking spots continue to fill up. Los Blancos have recently signed Kylian Mbappe and Endrick. When added to the current crop of players like Arda Guler, Jude Bellingham, Joselu, and Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo might struggle to find playing time.

This was revealed by journalist Graeme Bailey, who noted that the potential difficulty Rodrygo might face had led to interactions with Anfield. He explained (via Rousing the Kop):

“Endrick and Mbappe are coming in, and with Vinicius Jnr already in place Rodrygo’s situation could change, and quickly. His representatives are keeping Liverpool and other suitors informed on him.”

The Reds were also looking at Real Madrid talent Arda Guler, but the teenager is expected to go on loan in Spain if he cannot find playing time at the Bernabeu.

For Rodrygo, however, the situation is different, as per Bailey. He elaborated:

“Rodrygo is a different situation. A huge talent who not just Liverpool are keen on, but as it stands, the official line is he is not available and the player isn’t pushing to move…at the moment."

Real Madrid will look to ensure they can keep all their players happy, especially if they are not intent on selling any of their impressive squad. Los Blancos recently won their 15th UEFA Champions League trophy, and they look like strong contenders for next year's edition.
