Liverpool are reportedly monitoring the progress of Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez, eyeing a potential move, according to TEAMtalk (via X account Transfer News Live).

The Hungarian international has attracted attention from top European clubs, including Chelsea. Since joining Bournemouth from AZ Alkmaar last summer reportedly for €17.9 million, the 20-year-old's performances have established him as one of the Premier League’s most sought-after defensive talents.

Kerkez’s potential transfer to Pool could be part of a strategic overhaul of their defense. With Andrew Robertson aging and Kostas Tsimikas not quite fitting long-term plans, the Reds are scouting younger options.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot is believed to be a key figure behind the interest, with his reputation for nurturing young talent a significant factor in the club’s approach.

The competition for Kerkez’s signature, however, could be fierce. Manchester United, Chelsea, and clubs from Serie A and the Bundesliga are reportedly keeping a close eye on the player, according to One Football.

While Bournemouth are unlikely to part with him easily, any January transfer could involve a large fee as the Cherries look to retain one of their brightest prospects.

Despite Kerkez’s strong defensive performance, his offensive contributions remain an area for improvement. This could be a consideration for the Reds, who favor full-backs with attacking flair.

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker a doubt for Bournemouth clash due to muscle issue - Reports

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has confirmed that goalkeeper Alisson Becker is a doubt for their Premier League match against Bournemouth on Saturday due to a muscle issue.

The Brazilian shot-stopper, who has featured in all of Liverpool’s four league games this season, missed part of a recent training session, raising concerns about his fitness ahead of the weekend.

Slot addressed Alisson’s injury during his press conference, admitting (via BBC Sports):

"It is a doubt if Alisson can train on Friday. If he can't, then he probably won't play. We have to wait and see."

Slot elaborated on the extent of Alisson’s injury, explaining:

"He [Alisson] has a slight issue with one of his muscles and we wonder if this game is too early or not. He didn't get it in the Milan game; it happened a bit before, but after the Milan game he felt it more and more."

In Alisson’s absence, Kelleher is the most likely to start, having filled in for the goalkeeper previously when Alisson was sidelined for over two months last season.

Liverpool’s medical team will monitor the situation closely, but Slot remained cautious about the goalkeeper’s involvement.

"We have to wait and see if he will be in goal on Saturday or if we have to wait a few extra days."
