Liverpool are reportedly keen to launch a move for Juventus teenager Kenan Yildiz, who has earmarked as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah.
Yildiz, 19, is currently relishing a breakout campaign at Juventus. The right-footed winger has started 16 of his 20 appearances across all competitions for his club, scoring four goals and contributing three assists so far this season.
Now, according to Caught Offside, Liverpool are monitoring Yildiz's development at Juventus with the intention of signing him. They are set to face competition from Arsenal, Manchester United, Aston Villa, and Borussia Dortmund.
Juventus, on the other hand, are not ready to offload the 17-cap Turkey international and the forward himself is happy at his current club. However, the Bianconeri could agree to sell their youth product for a sum of over £66 million.
Yildiz, who is a former Bayern Munich youth star, has a contract until June 2029 at his current club. He could potentially fill the void left by the departure of Salah, who is reportedly close to leaving the Merseyside outfit next summer.
Agent opens up on Liverpool target's future
Speaking recently to The Standard, Georgiy Sudakov's agent Vadim Shabliy revealed that the Liverpool target is ready for a permanent switch to a top European club. He said (h/t Rousing The Kop):
"Georgiy is a player with a great future. He, like most footballers, wants to try his hand at the top championships. It is absolutely normal when a player wants to grow professionally. Previously, Serie A giants and others were interested in him. Now, teams from the Premier League are actively showing interest in him."
Claiming that Shakhtar Donetsk are open to selling Sudakov, he added:
"I am sure that when we are all ready to move on, Georgiy will move to a top club. You know, from experience, I can say that in life everything happens on time. We, Shakhtar and the player are open to offers. And that means there is a high probability that we will soon be able to see Georgiy in the top leagues."
Sudakov, 22, has emerged as a vital first-team starter for Shakhtar over the last two seasons. He has scored 29 goals and registered 21 assists in 122 appearances across competitions for his boyhood club, lifting three trophies.
Apart from Liverpool, Sudakov has reportedly drawn interest from a host of clubs of late. The £54 million-rated midfielder has popped up as a target for Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United, as per Caught Offside.
