Liverpool are reportedly set to hold talks with agent Jorge Mendes regarding a possible deal for Sporting CP winger Geovany Quenda, who is a Portugal teammate of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Quenda, 17, has cemented himself as one of the best young wide operators since making his debut for Sporting earlier this season. He has registered two goals and as many assists in 20 appearances across all competitions for his boyhood club so far.
Now, according to TEAMtalk, Mendes has lately found himself busy owing to attention from a number of European teams. He recently sat down with Manchester United officials and spoke about the left-footed star's potential availability.
However, Mendes is set to meet with Liverpool officials to discuss the parameters for a switch for the talented teenager. Meanwhile, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), RB Leipzig, and Bayer Leverkusen are all currently in the race.
Should Quenda secure a permanent move to Liverpool, he could prove to be a clever signing for them. Ronaldo's international teammate could potentially fill the void left by Reds forward Mohamed Salah's potential departure next year.

Reds forward Mohamed Salah has lately emerged as a hot topic of discussion as he is in the final seven months of his contract. Last month, the 32-year-old confirmed that he has yet to receive a contract offer from his club.
During a recent chat on Sky Sports' Soccer Saturday, former Rangers striker Kris Boyd insisted that the Merseyside outfit should tie the Egyptian down to a new deal. He said:
"If I am Liverpool, you need to get him signed [to a three-year deal]."
Arsenal legend Paul Merson refuted Boyd's claims and commented:
"What, are you joking? Really? A three-year deal?"
Boyd, who is a former Nottingham Forest and Kilmarnock ace, continued:
"He's 32-year-old. Well, [he will be] 33. So, look at... Mo Salah's at the same level as Ronaldo and people who are [close to 40]."
Laughing off the aforementioned comparison, the Gunners icon added:
"That's like, that's like... me going to you [the host] and your little boy, alright? 'Oh, it's alright. Don't worry if he doesn't get any bigger because Messi was really good' You can't use Messi, you can't use Ronaldo, they are one-offs! [Salah's] a team player, a team player. 100% [he'll be done at the top level in three years' time]."
Salah, who has been at Liverpool since 2017, has been in sensational form this campaign. He has registered 12 goals and 10 assists in 19 matches across competitions for Arne Slot's outfit so far.
