Liverpool have reportedly identified Premier League midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White as a key target in 2025. As claimed by Football Insider (via Empire of the Kop), the Reds admire the Nottingham Forest star.
The report claims that the Merseyside giants want to sign the former Wolverhampton Wanderers over the next two transfer windows this year. They are believed to be keen on a number 10 with excellent linkup play and the ability to find the back of the net.
Meanwhile, Gibbs-White has been a key player for the Nottinghamshire-based club since his them-club record £25 million move in 2022. He has made 95 appearances for the club so far having contributed with 14 goals and 21 assists. The 24-year-old came through Wolverhampton Wanderers' youth ranks and played 88 games for them before leaving in 2022. He also had impressive loan spells with Swansea City and Sheffield United from Wolves.
While Gibbs-White is predominantly a number 10, he has played in every midfield and attacking role across his career. Such a versatile and home-grown player could be a brilliant addition to Liverpool who could do with additions in the middle of the park.
Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest are enjoying a surprisingly brilliant 2024-25 season under Nuno Espirito Santo. Having been in a relegation fight in the last two seasons, the Tricky Trees find themselves third in the Premier League table after 18 games. Hence, they are unlikely to entertain any offer for their star midfielder in January. However, they could reportedly consider a suitable offer in the summer from Liverpool.
Liverpool handed major fitness boost with star player set to be back this month: Reports
Liverpool have reportedly been handed a major boost with Conor Bradley set to return to action in January. As reported by LFC Transfer Room on X (via Chris Bascombe), the Northern Ireland international is nearing his return to fitness.
The attacking right-back has been out with a hamstring injury since November 27, 2024, and has missed 10 games across competitions. He was subbed off in the 87th minute in the Reds' 2-0 win against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League after an excellent performance.
Bradley emerged as one of the brightest young players in the Premier League last season while filling in for injured Trent Alexander-Arnold. He has been a reliable deputy to the England international and has been thoroughly impressive.
The full-back made 23 appearances for Liverpool across competitions last season, scoring once and providing six assists. He has one assist to his name in 12 games this season although has started just four games.
