Liverpool are reportedly ready to sign Fulham and USMNT defender Antonee Robinson in January. The Reds were relatively quiet in the summer transfer window but are still poised to add firepower to their squad.

According to Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur, Liverpool plan to check on Antonee Robinson's situation in the January transfer window as Arne Slot has included the USMNT star in his two-man shortlist to replace Andrew Robertson.

While Roberson is currently not injured, his form seems to be declining. Although Liverpool has Kostas Tsimikas as a replacement for the Scottish left-back, they would need quality additions.

Antonee Robinson has been a regular starter for the Cottagers lately and has also impressed with his performances. Acquiring the services of Robinson will be a good bargain for Liverpool, given that he is three years younger than Robertson.

With his current market value at €25 million as per Transfermarkt, the Reds could pull a few strings in the January transfer window. However, the deal could have a hurdle with Manchester United also believed to be interested in the player.

Antonee Robinson joined Fulham from Wigan Athletic in 2020 for a reported fee of €2.10 million. He has scored 3 goals and provided 14 assists for the Cottagers in 156 appearances across competitions.

Trent Alexander-Arnold provides update on his future at Liverpool

Right-back Alexander-Arnold recently commented on his contractual situation at Anfield. The England international was cagey about his future at the club, claiming that winning trophies would be a factor in making a decision about his stay at the club.

The 25-year-old is a product of Liverpool’s academy. He is currently in the final year of his contract and could leave on a free transfer at the end of his season if he refuses to end his stay with the club. Real Madrid are reportedly interested in him but the Spanish giants are yet to enter into any negotiations for the player.

When Alexander-Arnold was asked about his future at Anfield, he said (via Mirror):

“The most important thing is trophies, if I’m honest. I want to win trophies. I’m a player who’s highly motivated by trophies and winning things and being elite. That’s probably the main factor of anything."
"If you’ve got a personality that is an elite athlete that wants to win and will do anything to win, then that’s what drives them. I’ve been at the club for 20 years now. I’ve signed four or five contract extensions and none of those have been played out in public and this one won’t be either.”

Arnold also expressed his desire to captain the Merseyside club but said the decision is out of his hands.
