As per Calciomercato, Liverpool have thrown their hat into the race to sign Adrien Rabiot this summer. Rabiot is currently a free agent after his contract with Juventus expired at the end of the 2023-24 season.
As per the aforementioned source, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are also interested in landing the France international on a free transfer. Rabiot was a part of Didier Deschamps' side that were knocked out of Euro 2024 semi-finals after a 2-1 defeat to Spain.
The Merseysiders are reportedly contemplating a move for the former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder. Thiago has recently announced his retirement from professional football. Hence, despite signing players like Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Ryan Gravenberch last summer, Liverpool could look to add another midfielder to their ranks.
Rabiot is massively experienced in European football, having 212 appearances for Bianconeri and 227 more for PSG. He is also a 48-time France international and has represented Les Bleus in major tournaments like Euro 2020, FIFA World Cup 2022, and Euro 2024.
Arne Slot is set to start a new era at Merseyside and is looking to bolster his squad all around the pitch. Rabiot's potential addition could help him add more steel to the team's midfield.
