Liverpool and Manchester United are reportedly keen on Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Joao Gomes. As reported by The Sun via Tribal Football, the Brazil international is attracting plenty of interest from top clubs in the Premier League.

The report mentions Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United as the admirers of the midfield dynamo. Gomes has been a key player for Wolves since joining the West Midlands club in January 2023 from Flamengo.

Even before his move to the Molineux, the combative midfielder attracted interest from several top clubs in Europe. Both Liverpool and Manchester United are among the long-term admirers of the 23-year-old.

Gomes has seen his stock rise further since moving to Wolverhampton Wanderers. He has already earned nine caps for Brazil and looks destined to become a big player for the Selecao in the future.

Despite Wolves' inconsistent form this season, Gomes has managed to catch the eye with his work rate, passing and ability to win the ball. On top of that, his Premier League experience makes him a hugely interesting player for any big club looking to bolster their midfield.

Gomes has played both as a number six and as a number eight this season and has been one of Wolves' best performers. He has two goals and two assists in 21 appearances for the Midlands club this season.

Manchester United face competition from Liverpool and Chelsea for PL defender: Reports

Manchester United are reportedly set to face competition from rivals Chelsea and Liverpool for the signing of Milos Kerkez. As reported by TEAMtalk, the Hungary international has emerged as a top target for all three aforementioned clubs.

Kerkez has been a great success at Bournemouth since joining the Cherries in a reported £15.5 million deal from AZ Alkmaar in 2023. He has showcased his ability to contribute both defensively and while going forward.

The bombarding full-back has made 54 appearances for the South Coast club so far, scoring once and producing four assists. He is reportedly valued at £40 million by Bournemouth and is contracted at Dean Court until the summer of 2028.

Manchester United are in dire need of left-backs, with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia both being susceptible to injuries. Meanwhile, Liverpool are also looking for a player who can become the long-term successor to club legend Andrew Robertson.
