The Hungarian defender has been a fine performer for the Cherries since joining them in the summer of 2023 for an undisclosed fee.
Hungary international Kerkez has been key to how Andoni Iraola wants his Bournemouth side to play, with hunger in defensive and attacking situations as a full-back. The 21-year-old has featured in all 11 of the Cherries' Premier League games this season, including wins against Arsenal and Manchester City.
Liverpool are in the market for a new left-back to provide cover for and ultimately replace the aging duo of Kostas Tsimikas and Andy Robertson at the club.
Caught Offside reports that the Reds have initiated contacts with their fellow Premier League side as they look to sign the youngster, who was once on the books of AC Milan. The Reds have also received permission from Bournemouth to commence initial talks with the youngster.
Kerkez has recorded two assists this season, both of which came in his side's impressive 2-1 win over champions Manchester City in October. The young left-back is also wanted by Arsenal and Manchester United, both of whom are looking to sign a new left-back.
Liverpool director Richard Hughes was the man responsible for bringing the youngster to Bournemouth during his time at the club and could be set to do the same with the Reds. Kerkez is not the only name on the club's wishlist, with several other players on their radar for a transfer.
Milos Kerkez has long been a player of interest to the Reds, as they held talks with him in 2023 while he was on the books of AZ Alkmaar. A fee of £40 million is expected to be enough to prise him away from the grasp of Bournemouth in 2025.
