Liverpool are reportedly set to make a mega-money move for Athletic Bilbao midfielder Oihan Sancet. As reported by Spanish media outlet Fichajes.net, the 24-year-old has attracted interest from a host of clubs across Europe including the Reds.
Sancet has been exceptional for Athletic Bilbao this season having particularly caught the eye with his goalscoring exploits. The technically gifted attacking midfielder has produced eight goals in 15 appearances across competitions this season.
The Spaniard came through the youth ranks of Athletic Bilbao and has made 172 appearances for the La Liga giants so far. He has found the back of the net on 33 occasions while producing 15 assists.
Sancet is blessed both physically and technically and could add a whole new dimension to Liverpool if the Reds manage to secure his services. He has a frame of 6 ft 2 in and quite naturally excels in the air while also being excellent with his feet.
Arne Slot's side are reportedly ready to make a €80 million move for the Spain international who has earned four caps for his country. The attacking midfielder has one international goal to his name having scored on his international debut against Scotland.
Liverpool could do with an addition to their midfield ranks as their squad could be stretched by injuries. Someone like Sancet could be a solid addition to the Merseyside giants.
