Liverpool and Bayern Munich are reportedly set for a transfer battle to sign Omar Marmoush in the 2025 summer transfer window. The 25-year-old Egyptian forward currently plays for Eintracht Frankfurt and his contract with the Bundesliga club is valid until the summer of 2027.
Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg has reported that Bayern Munich have Omar Marmoush on their transfer target list for next summer. The Bavarians' interest in Marmoush reportedly intensified following his impressive performance against the club on October 6.
Marmoush scored a brace and provided an assist in Bayern's Bundesliga clash against Eintracht Frankfurt, which ended in a 3-3 draw. He had 32 touches along with one key pass while maintaining a pass accuracy of 78%.
According to Florian Plettenberg, no official agreements or negotiations between the Bundesliga clubs or Omar Marmoush have taken place as of yet. However, informal talks have been initiated and Bayern continue to track the player.
Bayern Munich will have to race Liverpool in order to acquire Marmoush's signature. The Reds will be trying to strengthen their squad and are reportedly considering the 25-year-old as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah.
Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany and sporting director Max Eberl have been impressed with Omar Marmoush and are interested in adding him to the squad, as per GOAL.
Eintracht Frankfurt value Omar Marmoush at €50-60m, as per Florian Plettenberg. The Egyptian has netted 12 goals and provided nine assists in 14 appearances across competitions for the German club so far this season.
Overall, Omar Marmoush, who joined Eintracht Frankfurt from VfL Wolfsburg in 2023, has recorded 29 goals and 15 assists in 55 matches.
Liverpool handed injury boost ahead of UCL clash against Bayer Leverkusen - Reports
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported that centre-back Ibrahima Konate is back in training and is expected to return to the pitch for their clash against Bayer Leverkusen. The Reds will face the reigning Bundesliga giants in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, November 5, at Anfield.
Konate sustained an arm injury in Liverpool's 2-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League on November 2. The Frenchman had to leave the pitch in a makeshift sling at the beginning of the second half after Virgil van Dijk accidentally stepped on his arm.
Following the injury, Ibrahima Konate took to his official Instagram account and provided an update to his fans. He wrote:
"Thanks for all the messages of support. My injury isn’t serious thankfully. I had a scan today and it confirmed there is no break. I’ll be ready for the next game."
According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool are also preparing a new deal for Konate, whose contract is set to expire in the summer of 2026.
Ibrahima Konate, who joined Liverpool from RB Leipzig in 2021, has helped maintain seven clean sheets while recording two goals and one assist in 14 appearances across competitions for the Reds so far this season.
