Liverpool could be without Ibrahima Konate, Conor Bradley, Joe Gomez, and Federico Chiesa when they take on Manchester United in the Premier League on (January 5) according to a report by Manchester Evening News.

Konate is recovering from a knee injury that he sustained in the Reds' 2-0 win over Real Madrid in (November 2024). In Konate's potential absence, Virgil van Dijk and Gomez have mostly been paired at center-back. The Frenchman has scored two goals and provided one assist in 18 appearances this season.

Meanwhile, Gomez has proven to be a key player for Arne Slot in recent months, registering 16 appearances so far. However, he suffered a hamstring problem in the Reds' 5-0 win over West Ham United on December 29.

His potential absence could be a big blow for Liverpool given his importance in defense. Jarell Quansah could replace the Englishman at center-back against Manchester United.

Bradley is also recovering from a hamstring injury that he sustained against Los Blancos in (November 2024). However, as the preferred right-back option, Trent Alexander-Arnold has been able to feature consistently. This could imply that Bradley's potential absence might not be felt. The 21-year-old has registered one assist in 12 games this season.

Finally, Chiesa could also be absent as he has struggled to secure regular game time this season. The Italian was not named in the squad that featured in the previous Premier League game against West Ham United.

Chiesa has only registered four appearances since joining the Reds last summer and there are rumors surrounding his future at Anfield. The aforementioned report claims that he could miss the clash against the Red Devils.

Despite a change in manager last summer, the Reds have been outstanding in the Premier League this season. Liverpool are the league leaders having registered 45 points from 18 games. They have won 14, drawn three, and have registered only one defeat.

The Reds have also scored 45 goals, the most goals in the league this season while their defense has conceded 17 goals. With a game in hand, the Reds are six points ahead of second-placed Arsenal in the title race.
