Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) manager Luis Enrique reportedly wants to bring Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah to the club. This is according to a report from Fichajes, who also says that the Parisians would be willing to offer the Egypt international a massive salary upon his arrival (via SPORTbilble).
The Ligue 1 outfit would like to snap up Salah after his contract expires in the summer of 2025. At the moment, it looks uncertain as to whether or not the winger will renew his deal at Anfield.
On the other hand, Enrique has also entered the final year of his deal at the Parc des Princes, which could have an effect on these links with Salah. However, a report from Le Parisien says that the former Barcelona coach is set to continue with his current employers.
As for PSG, bringing the former AS Roma star to their club would be a significant move. Even at 32, Salah continues to play a prominent role for Liverpool, having scored four goals and bagged four assists in seven Premier League matches this season.
He joined the Reds in the summer of 2017 from Roma for a reported fee of £36.5 million. Since then, the Egyptian has made 359 appearances across competitions for the Merseysiders, bagging 217 goals and 94 assists. He's won the UEFA Champions League and the Premier League, once each, among other honors at Anfield.
A move to PSG would earn Salah the chance to continue to compete in European football. However, the French side will have to see off competition from the Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad, who are still said to be interested in the winger.
Jermaine Pennant tips Bayern Munich winger to replace Mohamed Salah at Liverpool
Pundit Jermaine Pennant, meanwhile, believes Liverpool must attempt to sign Leroy Sane to replace Mohamed Salah at Anfield. With a year left on the Egyptian's deal, there is much conversation about the players who could be signed as a long-term replacement for Salah.
Sane is an experienced winger who has a year left on his contract with Bayern Munich. Therefore, the Reds will be able to sign the player for free in 2025. Speaking to Safest Casino Sites, Pennant said (via Liverpool.com):
"There are wingers out there with the pace and goalscoring ability that you could replace Mohamed Salah with. I'd love to see Leroy Sane come in from Bayern Munich."
Sane has previously played in the Premier League with Manchester City, making 135 appearances across competitions for the English top-flight champions. He scored 39 goals and bagged 43 assists there.
