Manchester City are planning to prise Dani Olmo away from Barcelona, according to Fichajes.net. The Spaniard's future at Camp Nou has been thrown up in the air following the recent registration issues.

The Catalans signed Olmo from RB Leipzig last summer in a reported €50m deal. However, the Spanish giants could only register him with LaLiga until the end of last year, due to their poor financial situation.

Barcelona have been working to complete the re-registration process in recent days, but their efforts are yet to bear fruit. As of now, the 26-year-old is no longer registered with LaLiga and the Catalans could be running out of time to address the issue.

The situation has raised doubts about Olmo's continuity with the LaLiga giants, prompting interest from Manchester City. The Premier League champions are long-term admirers of the Spaniard and believe he could fit in quite well under Pep Guardiola.

Olmo's contract reportedly has a clause that allows him to leave Barcelona for free unless the registration issues are solved immediately. The Cityzens are looking to exploit that option and prise him away from Camp Nou.

Manchester City are in troubled waters at the moment and are looking at the market to reinforce their squad. The opportunity to sign a talent like Olmo for free could be too hard to resist for the English champions. Unless the Catalans address the matter soon, they could be powerless to stop City.

Manchester City are reportedly eyeing a move for Barcelona starlet Baba Kourouma. The 15-year-old is highly regarded at Camp Nou and is the latest talent to emerge out of La Masia.

A central defender by trade, Kourouma is capable of operating in the pivot role. He has been playing above his age group in the youth ranks for the LaLiga side of late.

While Kourouma should be part of the Cadete B side, he played for the Cadete A team last season and didn't look out of place. The teenager has been promoted to the Juvenil B (Under-18) team this season and has held his own as well.

Journalist Matteo Moretto has stated that Barcelona have already initiated talks to tie the player down to his first professional contract. The deal can be signed as soon as Kourouma turns 16 in February, and the player reportedly wants to stay.
