Manchester United have identified Tyler Dibling as a target for 2025, according to The Sun. The report adds that the Red Devils, as well as Aston Villa, have sent scouts to watch him in the last three games.

The 18-year-old has caught the eye with Southampton this season, registering one goal and two assists from 15 games across competitions. Nine of them have been starts, signifying his rising importance with the Saints.

Understandably, any move is likelier in the summer, because the Hampshire club are reluctant to let him go in the middle of the season. If Southampton - who are 20th in the Premier League table after 14 games - are relegated, they will struggle to keep hold of Dibling.

Manchester United are keeping a close eye on the Englishman's situation. New head coach Ruben Amorim is apparently looking to add a new winger to his roster, either in January or next summer.

Dibling - whose contract expires in 2027 - has popped up on his radar and has been identified as an upgrade on Antony. The Brazilian has failed to impress so far and the Red Devils are keen to remove his £200,000-per-week wages from their books.

Manchester United are now plotting to offload the player next year, although a permanent move might not be easy given his poor form. The English giants are also open to a loan exit in January. Amorim also has his eyes on a reunion with Sporting's Geovany Quenda, who could serve as a replacement for Antony.

Ruben Amorim took charge at Manchester United on November 11, 2024. The Red Devils opted to sack Erik ten Hag following a poor start to the campaign and appointed the Portuguese as his replacement.

Amorim has enjoyed great success with Sporting, guiding them to two league titles in four campaigns so far. The Portuguese head coach has deployed his 3-4-3 system at Old Trafford to mixed results so far.

Manchester United have won two and lost one of their four games under Amorim so far. They have scored eight goals and conceded five.

The Red Devils are 13th in the Premier League after 14 games and next face Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford on Saturday, December 7. Amorim's team arrives at the game on the back of a 2-0 league defeat at the hands of Arsenal at the Emirates in midweek.
